Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21 1956) is a British-Canadian actress best known for her role as Samantha Jones in the HBO show Sex and the City for which she was awarded five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. In 2008 and 2010, she reprised the role in the movies Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. She is also known for her leading roles in the films of the 1980s Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin and Porky's. Kim Cattrall comes to mind when you mention her as Samantha Jones on the hit HBO TV show Sex & the City. Cattrall is a well-known actress, has been credited with her role as Samantha Jones as a career-defining character. It was not just amongst her national audience but she also became a global star. Anita Ekberg...................Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who appeared in several European as well as American films. Her most famous role is from the film comedy drama La Dolce Vita. This film, which received both it the Golden Palm Award and an Oscar at the 1960 Cannes Film Festival and also was a huge critical and commercial achievement, also won the Oscar. Before beginning her acting profession as a model, she worked as a Swedish fashion model. Then she won her first Miss Sweden contest. Following her move to the US she began acting in several movies, playing small characters. Her debut film role was as Venusian as Venusian in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars. Following her appearance in Blood Alley, she won the Golden Globe Award in the category of Most Promising Youngcomer.
